J. Peter & Associates have two ways to provide the highest level of Executive Search and Executive Recruiting services and results to their clients.

Executive Search, in our opinion, is a service which is designed to identify the best talent available in the market for a specific client position. Executive Search focuses heavily on the "match" between the client and one or more highly-viable candidates. Executive Search relies on the client having an excellent degree of clarity as to what they want in the candidate, and requires that the client have and maintain a strong commitment to filling the position on a timely basis. 

Executive Recruiting is a similar professional service; however, it is designed to identify a pool of potential candidates for a specific client situation, and it focuses less on the "match" and more on providing candidate flow so that the client can make their own assessment. In Executive Recruiting, the bulk of our effort is spent on finding potential candidates and getting them in front of the client as quickly as possible so that the client can assess the fit. Executive Recruiting has a higher danger for a mismatch. That is due to the lack of clarity as to what the client really wants and because in these cases the job specification (notwithstanding a precise job description) tends to be less structured and more fluid, which allows for a greater breadth of candidates who could potentially fit.

Fee Basis

We provide either of these services on a fee basis, meaning that we earn our fee based upon a percentage of the hired candidate's anticipated first year cash compensation. Because of our more focused and intense level of involvement, our fees for Executive Search are higher than our fees for Executive Recruiting. Correspondingly, our guarantee for Executive Search is longer than our guarantee for Executive Recruiting.
